This topic is not enough notable to be included in Wikipedia. You can ask the Teahouse for information about the notability requirements. Particularly, refer to WP.NFF. This is the guideline against the subject's evaluation. This draft is a request to spin-off an article. If the draft meets a special notability requirement, proposals to spin off a topic from an existing article into a separate article should be discussed on the talk page. If the draft is in accordance with a special noability guide, please provide a reliable source to identify the notability criterion. This does not mean that the draft should be spun off, and it does not mean that the draft should not be spun off. It does mean that discussion should be on the talk page of the existing article, Talk:Minecraft]. (If the draft is submitted again without discussion on the Talk:Minecraft page and does not comply with a special noteability guide, it might be Rejected or Nominated for Erasure. Comment: The draft was rejected six weeks back because it didn't satisfy film notability, and specifically the guidelines for future movies. It still does not satisfy the guidelines for future films. However, this does not mean the film will not be noted in the future. It is not well-known at the moment and it is unlikely to be in the near future. The film's history, which began in 2014 and continues at least through 2021, suggests it may still be in development. It is impossible to predict when it will release. This draft was rejected by a reviewer as part of the Articles for Creation review process. You should not resubmit or attempt to resubmit it again. Also, you should not prepare or submit another draft that is substantially identical to this draft without discussing the reasons. You may request a meeting with the reviewer who rejected your draft, or a discussion with members of the Teahouse community. A discussion does not guarantee a resubmission. The reviewer may not have decided that the topic is not noteworthy. The topic could be the subject of an article. This draft is not likely to be accepted as an essay. There is also evidence that this article will never be published. If there is to be an article on this topic, this draft must first be blown up and started over. If this draft is resubmitted without discussion and without starting it over, or if an attempt is made to resubmit this draft or an equivalent draft, without addressing the reasons for the Rejection by starting over, a partial block or a topic-ban may be requested against the submitting editor. The Teahouse may provide advice on Rejection. [1][2] Mojang CEO Vu Bui stated on October 8th 2014 that the movie is still in development. He said that it was a big-budget production and might not be released until 2018. [3][4] On October 16, 2014, Warner Bros hired Shawn Levy to direct the film,[5] while in December, it was confirmed that Levy and writers Kieran Mulroney and Michele Mulroney, who were developing the film together had left the project. [7][8] On October 13, 2016, Warner Bros. hired Jason Fuchs to write the latest draft of the film, with the previous draft from McElhenney. [9] Steve Carell was hired to play an unnamed character in the film's final draft on October 13, 2016. McElhenney quit the film in August 2018 because of scheduling conflicts. The movie was then delayed and Aaron Nee was tapped to rewrite its script. [11] Peter Sollett, a director, was hired in January 2019. Posthumously, Messick (who died in 2018) will be credited with the role of producer. [12] The script was written by Allison Schroeder in June 2019. [13] In April 2022, the director was replaced by Jared Hess. [14] Hubbel Parker and Chris Bowman were named screenwriters. [15] Casting In April 2022, Jason Momoa was in final negotiations to star in the film. [14] Release The untitled Minecraft film is currently scheduled by Warner Bros. Pictures. [11] It was originally scheduled for release on 24 May 2019, but Warner Bros. moved it to 4 March 2022. [16] The film will be released in IMAX. [17] Warner Bros. removed The Batman from the release schedule on October 6, 2020 in order to avoid direct competition. [18] ^ Nutt, Christian (February 27, 2014).
