We hope you're not too attached to either the Minecraft Java or Bedrock editions of one the most popular building games on PC. minecraft survival games servers and Mojang confirmed that they'll end the game on the 7th of June. No matter if you're an avid player of the fantastic sandbox game, you may be confused about the fact that there are two versions of Minecraft on PC that are the Java and Bedrock editions. PCGamesN has a handy guide to explain the difference between the two versions, but regardless - if you paid for one, you didn't get access to the other. It's a bit odd. Mojang and Microsoft are in complete agreement as they have announced (thanks to Neowin) the Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. This single-purchase edition of Minecraft for PC replaces the separate editions. The game will be available for purchase on June 7 and becomes "the only and standard edition of vanilla Minecraft on Windows PC." Anyone who owns either the Java or Bedrock editions will get upgraded to the combined edition without any other purchase needed This should happen automatically - although "it could take between two and three days for the game to show up as we roll it out to all players who are eligible." In addition, Minecraft players should be allowed to play across versions without hassle. Mojang confirms that "Java and Bedrock will remain separate games that have their own distinct features," with the only difference is that you don't have to purchase them separately, and you can play both on the same Minecraft launcher. This is great news to everyone, excluding those who have recently purchased both of them separately. It should make the downloading of Minecraft much simpler.
